Tell-a-Fone
What? You wanna run across the country with me?! Dude, that’s crazy!
Of course, you don’t have to run all the way. You can run as much or as little or you’d like, with or without shoes. It’s great to have people keeping me company, and I’d surely appreciate your support.
So here’s what you do:
- Figure out where we are. Have a look at the Route Map, which gives a general idea of where I am at any given point.
- Call the Tell-a-Phone at 802-275-2494. We keep it in the van, and it’s the best way to reach us and figure out where we can meet up to run together. If you don’t reach us, leave a detailed message with your full name, contact information and where you’d like to meet up. We’ll get back to you.
- Meet up. Let’s run some miles together and stamp out youth homelessness.
Please bear in mind that I am on a strict running schedule and we can not alter course or wait on the side of the road for you – I’ve got a lot of miles to run! You may get thirsty or hungry if you plan to run several miles, so please bring liquids and food. You must supply your own transportation to your start point and from your finish point.
Donations are welcome and appreciated. We can accept cash or a check at the van, and you can always donate online.
Now let’s get out there and log some miles.
SHABAMBO!

Eat from the local family farms on your way & stay healthy!
Hey!
It looks like the rain may be holding you up a bit which means you may be in the area longer and the chances I’ll get to meet up with are higher. I will contact Ben on Friday sometime to get a rough idea as to where you will be Saturday morning. Hopefully weather is conducive to barefoot running. Either way I can drop by with cookies and a chat. Stay dry and maybe check out Mammouth Park’s huge slide (take wax paper). TTYL Liz
hey Liz,
we love cookies! thanks. anything you’d like to make would be wonderful. if you want to catch up with me, make sure you take a look at my GPS location on the route map, then call the tell-a-fone at 802-275-2494 and talk to Ben. he’ll tell you exactly where to meet up. thanks, can’t wait to run with you. you’re going to kick the NY Marathon’s butt!

Hello Tellman, Family and Team!
Today I was forwarded an e-mail in our local Pittsburgh paper about your story, wonderful of course! I live in the North Huntingdon area (west of where you are coming from) and happen to be training for the NYC marathon coming up. This weekend I was not necessarily looking forward to the 16/18 mile run alone so I would like to meet up with you! I would love to bake some cookies for your group but please let me know if that would be alright, and if so, any preferences or dietary restrictions you may have.
Hopefully see you Saturday/Sunday!
