Hi Tellman.
Sorry I am not up to date.
How long are you planning to run?
Well and good luck to your feet.

3 Jim October 2, 2009 at 10:06 am

Wouldn’t resting those feet in the middle of winter feel better in some nice warm Hawaiian beach sand with a Hula Honey giving you a massage? Melissa and Luke know what I’m talking about.
Run on buddy, I would love to take some vacation time just to meet you at some of the towns on the way. I’d even bring some Maui goodies….

I wish you were passing by the area where I live. It would be an honor to be by the side of the road to cheer for and encourage you. I am confident you will accomplish your goal. Be careful out there and take care of yourself.

Tellman, what you’re doing is great. I looked for you today around Shikellamy State Park but you had already cruised through there. Maybe tomorrow morning I’ll catch you. I want to meet a legand. Good luck my friend. You’re at the beginning of an amazing journey.

Definitely an incredible feat. It is awesome when we are at the point in our own lives where we understand that our lives are created to bettering society and the world. Tellman, I appreciate what you are doing and hopefully one day we all realize (myself included) that giving is far more pleasurable than taking. We dont all have to run across the country BAREFOOT, but we can contribute small things that make a big difference. Thanks.

8 Michele September 27, 2009 at 9:02 am

raising funds is never really simple – good for you – throwing in your feet got to be worth the millions.
Have a plan worked out yet, exactly how you will implement the help for the homeless kids yet?

9 Lauri Ainsworth September 25, 2009 at 6:10 pm

Good luck! I drove past you while you were running through Fort Lee, NJ. I still haven’t figured out what you’re up to, but it looks like fun. Stay strong!

16 Brady Crabb September 22, 2009 at 9:01 am

Tellman,
What you are doing is AWESOME. Anytime I ever ran in my life, my lungs killed me. As a kid I had BAD asthma so I settled for being “unable” to run. Then came Jackie Joyner-Kersee. Her can-do attitude tells anyone with lung problems to just go out and do it. Now you come along and say “I can run BAREFOOT across this great land to help others,” and I am humbled by what you are doing. Thinking of others is never wrong. All I can say is: RTR, and may God Bless!

Tellman, I drove about 130 miles early this afternoon to see part of your run through PA. Your last point on the map showed you at Berlinsville, so I went from there to Lehighton and no Tellman. I figured you either had finished for the day or were taking a break when I got up there around 3 PM. Are you running on Sunday? If I don’t catch you tomorrow, best of everything to you and your crew on your run across America.

23 lawton chiles September 19, 2009 at 5:43 pm

Tellman, how do you set up that map to track yourself?

I’m a photojournalist, and would love to photograph you when you’re in my area. I hope you don’t mind. I live near Pittsburgh, and it seems that your route is quite staggered north of me, in the shape of an M. Where abouts are you staying the night in that area? I wouldn’t mind shooting some portraits as well.

Go Tellman! Should I NOT be counting the time as “the days SINCE STARTING” on the sign? I personally thought when I first heard about your plan that you would be much closer to 200 days total by the time you got all those miles under your soles.

It certainly is an undertaking of impressive stature (which should have an astounding impact by the time you’re done.) no matter how many days it takes you. (It would take me about 2 years!)

Hope that the weather is the only thing that slows you down, man

Dude That is a long way barefoot or with shoes, so good to see you inspiring people to get out and participate. I guess when you walk your talk or in your case run your run, your example of thinking big and taking action is what is the most encouraging to others. Have been following your progress, all the best for your success.

50 Andrew Baird September 10, 2009 at 4:24 pm
