Dear Tellman,

When is this RUN going to be over
I certainly miss you. How are your FEET
holding up? Dear God. I hope they are doing okay.

Tellman, please think this over I would
really appreciate being able to travel to
Vermont to visit with you and leave knowing
how to get the BEST out of the INTERNET.
Are there hotels, Inns, Convents etc near
you? I would fly into Vermont and stay at
a nearby Hotel. You think of it and let me
know if your schedule would allow it.

Josh, has been doing very well for
you in your absence. He is always sending
things out to us and he certainly reads
very FAST.

God bless you and your family for
all that you do for others. Those Home-
less kids will do so well…THANKS
TO YOU.

Many prayers and Mass every day
for you.
Fondly,
“CONNIE”

While I wish you successI do have a few questions

1. $100 million is an awful lot. Completely impossible if it’s coming from people and not the govt. Why not set a reasonable goal? Similar walks across the US for charity typically raise $50,000

2. Where is the total on this site for how much has been raised? I would definitely want to know if I were donating.

3. Why barefoot? A lot of people have walked/run across the US. Barefoot you are only taking the risk of hurting yourself long term. Pavement is not like grass.

Anyway, the cause and your efforts are very admirable and I wish you success.

Hi Tellman,
You have one more fan! I saw your project on kickstarter and I think it is really admirable what you are doing for the homeless and people everywhere. One thing that stood out to me on this website is your guiding principle. It is a something that I want to use!: If you don’t set yourself extremely ambitious goals, nothing great will ever be accomplished.

Best of luck on your long run!

Sincerely,

Riley Tucker

Hi Tellman,
Hello from long lost Johnson, Vermont! do you remember me? i was the freshman roomie of Jessica who was dating Tyler Blain at the time….i remember you and your salsa and you running round the circular hills of Johnson early in the morning… found out about your campaign through facebook friends (alums of JSC). 12 admin January 12, 2010 at 2:28 pm

Hey Jeneane and John. Got your message!

I definitely remember running by your joint. We’ll be driving out that way again to start our run the next few days, so keep your eyes peeled and we’ll definitely stop by for a hot dog or two. Thanks, guys. See you soon.

13 Jeneane Wilkinson January 11, 2010 at 11:46 pm

Go Tellman Go! You ran right by our restaurant, The Snack Shack in Evans, just past Rollins Lake in Evans, while your PR dude got out and took photos. If he got any of you in front of the restaurant, we would LOVE for you to e-mail them so we can put them on display, with your website. I think your cause is great and there’s no doubt you can accomplish anything you can dream and set your mind to! Woo hoo! Go Tellman! If I could’ve caught you in time, I would have donated you some of the best hotdogs around! Keep runnin Tellman!

14 John Grey January 11, 2010 at 10:52 pm

Tellman,

Put on some shoes man, i saw u on rt. 21, right before you crossed the crappy little “in construction” bridge in evans wv, Just a little outside of ripley. I had never heard of u. But i was on my way to work and i thought man dude pretty determined running in the cold, but then as i went by i thought man no shoes. I thought i just imagined that part. At any rate. I own the little resturant your crew pulled off for pictures at while u ran by.The Snack Shack and we would have loved to of fed your crew and help ur cause. I called my girlfriend and told her, and im sure she thought i was nuts, when i told her i saw a barefoot man jogging, and truthfully i figured u went straight, but she said minutes later you ran by the hopand ur guys pulled and took photos. So maybe she’ll believe me more with my crazy tales thanks to you. It’s about time someone brought light or did something for the poverty ridden children of our country. And Tellman in West by God Virginia man u got to put on some shoes. You lose a foot or two here. God Bless Man and good luck man. and At least it gets flat up ahead for a long way.

“I get a lot less stuff in my feet than a lot of barefoot runners do” – Tellman Classic! What were they thinking using glass for the roads? I had not checked the map lately but now see it’s possible you might come through Louisville, KY. Please do tell so a proper reception could be in order.

16 Reverend Robert December 24, 2009 at 2:04 am

Hello Tellman and all the Crew!

I just got back from my road trip for a break before I leave again and I wanted to check in on your progress. I see you all are doing a fantastick job representing the Homeless Youths of America. On my road trip I am driving and can’t imagine running all them miles especially barefooted. You truly are a living example of how much passion we all should have in our hearts for those less fortunate and needy.

Keep up the great works that you all are performing. May God bless you all. Godspeed.

Reverend Robert

17 Rick December 23, 2009 at 2:20 pm

Hey Tellman,, the gps reading shows that your spending to much time at the restaurants , hahah kidding you bro. Yes is there anyway a person could tell how much you have raised so far? That would be awsome like the post said before this one. Your true alive buddy in parkersburg, Rick

18 Drew Kossoff December 21, 2009 at 5:06 am

Tellman, keep up the inspiring work! One suggestion: I think would help create even more momentum for your cause if you included a “running total” of how much $$ you’ve raised for homeless youth (You know, social proof that you’re the real deal and all). I made a contribution a few weeks ago and I’d love to know that I contributed to the $100,000 or $1,000,000 or $100,000,000 you raise, and I bet others would love to root you on and feel like a part of that achievement too – Drew

19 courtney December 2, 2009 at 11:19 am

Hey tellman.

I see you stopped in Fly, Ohio recently. Phyllis, who I saw you met at the 7&8, happens to be my grandmother. She called me just a little bit ago and told me to look at your website. I have not heard of your journey until now, since I am a teenager who has no idea what is going on in the world lol. But I just wanted to say good luck on your mission. I hope you reach it.

Good Luck! :) )
Courtney.

20 Lisa Saline November 29, 2009 at 8:37 am

Tellman it’s been fun to watch your progress and I seem to wince along with you as I couldn’t imagine a bruised heel. Thanks for being a champion to our children and helping people gain knowledge on the homeless children in our country.

21 Paulo Acoba November 23, 2009 at 11:51 am

Hi (^-^) This is Paulo Acoba again just leaving you a comment. You’re in my prayers and I will ask my family tonight to keep you in our prayers. Keep up the runs and stay strong. You are doing amazing work and have already done so much. I’ll be sure to spread your news and updates amongst my other friends throughout your journey as well.

-Happy early Thanksgiving!!!

22 Sean Malarkey November 21, 2009 at 1:08 pm

Tellman,

Just curious – Being the smart marketer you are – why are you avoiding major cities so far on this run? If you are trying to raise as much money as possible for Homeless youth’s – Your missing a ton of coverage that local media outlets would be providing.

Just curious,

Sean Malarkey

23 andy November 16, 2009 at 3:18 pm

We (my wife and I) think what you are doing is amazing and hopefully is bringing awareness to a greatly overlooked issue. Stumbled upon your site by accident and have followed continuously. Upon reading and seeing you were stopping in Wheeling, WV at Samaritan house, we were even more excited. We live in Charleston, WV now but my wife is originally from Wheeling (area) and her dad worked at with Youth Services and Samaritan house when she was growing up. We both commend you for doing something neither of us could dream of doing.

thanks again. Shabambo!

26 Hakeem Babatunde November 10, 2009 at 11:55 am

Hey Tellman, you are for real! I always thought this online business thing was a scam – to prise people’s credit cards open and NOT deliver. Until you came along…You’ve really made the internet come alive, open and personal; at least for newbies like me. With your effort and running, some homeless boy/girl somewhere in the States will tell this story with joy some day – and remember that a man called Tellman who overcame everything helped him/her overcome, too! I know you will overcome this one too, as you have done in all your life. $100,000,000 is acoming, and homelessness is arunning… Yeah! Well done, Tellman – as we say over here. – Hakeem Babatunde Smith, Nigeria.
PS: how can I donate? I don’t have a credit card..!

30 Ken McArthur November 7, 2009 at 5:06 pm

Hey Tellman,

Great to see you out there making an IMPACT!

I’ve been following you every “painful” step of the way. Remember, it’s the little things that count. Your footsteps add up to make a very big difference.

All the best,

Ken

We saw Tellman running in SR 145; Monroe County; Beallsville, Jerusalem, Malaga, Ohio 11/6 (Friday). Stopped in Malaga and spoke with his man in the van. He said you would headed on SR 800 S to Woodsfield, OH – I’d like to donate but don’t have a credit card. Is there a mailing address. You’re doing a good thing – you are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you!

32 Brandon McCorkle November 5, 2009 at 7:52 pm

35 John Zajaros November 1, 2009 at 4:13 pm

Looks like you changed your route. Too bad, I had a bunch of people lined up to run with you through Cleveland. I was wondering how you were going to beat the weather, though. Too bad about the feet. Remember, less is more, take it from someone who couldn’t make it to the base of his driveway a year ago. TuffGuy and do 7-9 miles a night now. With shoes, of course. I think you had a lot of people in the Midwest planning to stomp for you, if only for a few yards. Deep down, anyone who has lived here for any length of time had to be wondering how the heck you would deal with Fall in the middle of the country.

Good luck to you! BTW, Marc Joyner’s stock went up a bunch with me because he extended himself and your relationship outside of business to support a fellow “guru!” That says a lot about Marc. I am proud to say we share a similar military background and it seems we both treasure friends and comrades, in any arena or endeavor…not just when we make money in a relationship! What he did and what you are doing speaks volumes about the one thing seldom talked about in Internet marketing, or in life for that matter, the real value of an individual, character!

Keep hoofin’ and you will get there…and it will change you forever! Take care Tellman!

John Zajaros

Better study your route, check the weatherman and think about the possibility of hitting ice and snow .

Run Tellman Run! Don’t give up!

40 David Bowland October 15, 2009 at 1:10 pm

I am totally bummed. Well, I’m thrilled that you are still rocking it and getting lots of $$ collected for the homeless youth of America, but your route has changed and you are no longer going near Detroit or Toledo.
My family and I were going to come down to meet up with you there for the day – we are from near Toronto, Canada. Its an 8 hour drive to Toledo, but now your closest stop is Pitsburg and that is just to far for us to come.
So you can see why I am so bummed. But that’s all about me. thank you for what you are doing. You inspire me each day to get on with giving what i have to give and my expectations of myself have gotten a lot bigger since i met you.
You rock.
