The video above explains everything, but I want to write this out so I can see it with my own eyes…
RunTellmanRun is giving $10,000 to the Stepping Stone youth shelter in State College, Pennsylvania today!
I just wrote out the check from my non-profit, Tellman.org. As promised when I visited the shelter while running through town in October, the money will rebuild the kitchens at Stepping Stone and a sister shelter next door.
Ahhh, I’m so happy about this!
And it all happened because hundreds and hundreds of people like you (or you exactly) donated to RunTellmanRun. All the online gifts added up, and now we get to change the lives of kids like Caleb, an orphaned teen we met at Stepping Stone when we visited back in the fall.

As Caleb told us, youth homelessness “is not a chosen problem. But it is a preventable problem.” I couldn’t have said it better. The half dozen kids I met at Stepping Stone were obviously good-hearted and ambitious. They were simply dealt a bum hand at some point in life. It is not their fault that they found themselves without a home. It is not their fault.
Writing that check today felt great… really great. It doesn’t end here, though — we’re still on a mission. We’ve got tons more kids to help. Please donate $20, in the next five minutes so it’s fresh in your mind, and we’ll make sure it goes to places like Stepping Stone and to kids like Caleb.

Thanks for sending Stepping stone money. AND for asking them to send videos to show people how the money is being spent. The “hard part” of this is that many people that i ask to dontate are concerned about the money being wasted. A real concern. So showing people how it is being used is huge. Thanks for taking people’s concerns into consideration, and for helping these kids more thank anything.

This is awesome! Folks should be giving at least something to this cause. I am barely surviving, but thank God, my family has a roof over our head, so I made a donation. It wasn’t a lot, but if I can give, you can too.
Keep up the good work, Tellman, we are behind you!
