Vaseline Song

by admin on February 23, 2010

If you asked me, “Tellman, if you were stuck on a desert island and you could only have one item from home, what would it be?” I’d say, “hot sauce.”

But if you asked me, “Tellman, if you were out running a marathon every day doing a barefoot run across the country and you could only have one item, what it be?”

I’d say, “Easy. Vaseline.”

See, there’s a certain amount of chafeage that comes with running long distances. And by “certain amount”, I mean a freakin’ lot. I’ll spare you the intimate details of where the chafeage occurs, and save you the description of its visual impact on those areas. All you need to know is that it’s not comfortable, and if it’s serious enough it can sideline me for a few days.

Thankfully, some genius invented a petroleum jelly and named it Vaseline. I buy it in small squeeze tubes for portability purposes. But believe me, I’d buy 5- gallon tubs of this stuff at Costco and hook it up to a beer keg tap if I had room in the RunTellmanRun van.

Hope this wasn’t too much information for you – just trying to offer some insight into life on the road. Anyhoo, whuddya think of Luke’s Vaseline song?

SHABAMBO!

Truer words have never been spoken. Thank you, Rose.

Don’t too have too much to say about Vaseline, although I am glad it is helping you. However, I did hear a horribly alarming statistic yesterday: 50% of the “graduates” of the foster care system will end up homeless as part of their life experience. Our system is broken in so many ways, I hope that anything we can do to help on whatever level will make life easier and more bright for these most vulnerable human beings – our fellow Americans no less.

Slipper-est song on Youtube by far, Thank you for the smile you bring! I liked the song so much that I played it for my chickens and the only thing they said was Vaseline is cool but Crisco is not!

I LIKE THE SONG. IT IS NEAT AND APPROPRIATE FOR YOUR
AWESOME TASK!!!!!!!! Excuse the screaming capital letters but they are there for emphasis on your tremendous mercy mission.
God bless and keep you, Jodie, and Torger ever in His care. I got
to start earning some cash so I can donate to this worthy cause.

Good stuff… that vaseline. Or body glide… life savers those two ;)

I think that the body glide song could be more entertaining, you should try it sometime ;)

(I would, but I am not quite as musically inclined).

Keep on keeping on Tellman!
