my own theme song (action figure coming soon).

by admin on August 7, 2009

i consider myself a lucky man for many many reasons. i’ve got my health, my beautiful family, blah blah blah. but never in my life did i think i would someday have my own theme song. an action figure, yeah (i’m a huge comic book fan). but a theme song… ? no way.

that’s why this is so awesome. a friend of mine has been cranking overtime in his studio to produce “Run Tellman Run”, the theme song for my run across the country. he’s the one singing the chorus and intro. i’m not sure who his collaborator is that’s rapping the verses, but shucks, that guy is the real deal. [sidenote: i don't think the word "shucks" has ever been used to talk about rap. is that allowed?]

if you listen carefully you’ll notice that there’s rhythmic breathing in the background through the whole song. my favorite line is “so feet don’t fail him now, he’s got much land to scape with GPS know-how“. oh yeah, this is going to be in my head for days and days.

have a listen…  RunTellmanRun theme song

Dear Tellman

In case those feet are hurting, this message is sent with love and a warm lavender & olive foot massage for you.

Alone and running – in your mind imagine warm, soothing oils being caressed into those tired feet and legs with the aroma of relaxing lavender assaulting your senses to calm and restore you.

If you need the real deal and have someone there, the recipe is 2 tablespoons of best olive oil with 6-10 drops of lavender essential oil, warm gently and massage in (preferably before sleeping – (stick on socks for best effect).

Whatever, wherever, you’re a star – Run, Tellman, run – everyone is SO proud of you and cheering on your great achievement!!.

Great song mate. You’re doing a great thing. Good on you. Hope you enjoy running to this tune!! I’ll be following your progress!

18 Karen August 10, 2009 at 10:55 pm

Awesome theme song, Tellman. I am not a rap fan, in fact I despise all that I have heard, but this one I like and could listen to it without complaint. It will make a good running companion for you.

You are taking on quite a challenge with your run and I will keep you in my prayers for continued good health, clean running lanes, conditioned feet, good weather, and unending energy to reach your goal. I do believe it will be much easier to raise the donation goal for the kids than to make the run and I do commend you for your dedication to helping others in need. Run Tellman Run!

19 DAN August 10, 2009 at 10:08 pm

TELLMAN HOOK ME UP WITH A FREE WEBSITE THAT IS READY TO GO, I CAN’T AFFORD ALL YOUR VIDEO FEES AND ETC.
I’LL DONATE 80% OF THE INCOME PROFIT TO YOUR CAUSE.

THANK YOU, DAN THE ORPHAN.

20 Susi August 10, 2009 at 9:59 pm

Well Dang! The tape finished before the song did! But COOL song!
Bravo to you and the song creators!

Great cause, great song, poor feet, knees, hips, spine, and connecting joints! Did you ever find a run-a-long doctor? Watch out for the fire ants when you hit the Southwest. One wrong step into or near to a fire ant mound will ruin your day!

Still… Bravo to you for your endeavor, and having Your Own Song! I can just imagine what a Tellman Bobble Head character would look like–one of the only long haired bobble heads around! Have someone make a bunch, and sell them enroute for your cause!

21 Vee August 10, 2009 at 9:36 pm

Hi Tellman,
Great theme song for your run! I think most people have no idea of the staggering numbers of homeless teens, the danger they are in, and the implications of that long-term for this country. Thank you for doing something so graphic to raise consciousness and money for this cause.

25 Abby Reynolds August 10, 2009 at 8:59 pm

Wow, arent you scared.
I wish you all the best all the way from Perth in Austrlaia. Be safe and look after those feet. You definetly have the Forest Gump look.
Now who said one person could not make a difference in the world!!!

HI Tellman,

I have to comment on your status here about you wearing shoes.I am the opposite. I barely wear any shoes or sneakers unless I have to go to work. I LOVE being in my bare feet, but I don’t know if I could ever run barefooted.

P.S.
what did you think about the dinosaur video John and I made at Walmart. It was actually my idea. I could not resist when I walked by him

Teresa

Hi Tellman,
After hearing your theme song, I decided to record a video of a karaoke song that I performed here in Keene, NH. Your fundraising efforts for homeless youth should be applauded. You’re a great inspirational model for others to follow!. I’ve posted the video on You Tube and Facebook for you to see. I hope you like it.

34 Jean Paul AZZURRO August 10, 2009 at 7:37 pm

Hi Tellman!

Although I personally think, that CHARITY is the DISGRACE and SHAME of this world, I wish you quick feet for this incredible adventure.
Being directly connected to the ground barefooted for so many days, will definitely energize you and lift your spirits.

My thoughts will be with you many times.

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!!

Kind regards,
Jean Paul AZZURRO
