With less than 15 hours to go until i take the first step of my westward barefoot run, i have this nagging feeling in my gut. what is it?
i could be teeming with excitement. i could be riddled with anxiety. i could have unsettled nerves. but… i don’t know. i feel at ease. something just feels… “right.”
i’m about to pow-wow with my road crew at John’s Pizzeria in Greenwich Village in 45 minutes and I know they’re going to ask, “you ready?! you psyched?!” (they’re so awesome. love those guys and gals). the truth is, i’ve been ready for months.
but right now, at this moment, something just feels… “right.”
and then i get this note from a faraway land: “Dear Mr. Tellman, You are the great man. I told about You in my country, what you do for other poeple which need urgent living help. Its great and nice, God bless YOU and will it nice when You could take pople from evil Life to better or nice live. Tomorrow You want to start , i will in my mind and spirit whit You. Mrs: Iveta Steffekova”
thank you, Mrs. Steffekova, wherever you are.
i’m ready to roll, and everything is in it’s right place.
SHABAMBO!

i’m very proud of what U R doing my only concern is your feet…I hope once the sneaker companies become sponsors that you will wear some foot gear these roads are treacherous and dirty…Well for now RUN TELLMAN RUN ! God Bless
If it feels “right”, that’s a great sign… probably means you’re well prepared, well protected, and it’s going to go on almost like the proverbial autopilot.
Here’s hoping everyone who hears the message will donate generously!
Good Morning Dear Heart!
You may not have time to read your mail in the morning, but you’ll know we are all wishing you Godspeed. He’ll be with you all the way, watching over you and refreshing you.
Much love,
Grandma Ouida
You are “CRAZY”

May God be with you always and keep you safe,

Sounds like you’re super excited now but I’m interested to see when fatigue starts to take its toll. I wish you all the best. Next time you’re in western Canada, give me a shout.
