our homes for the upcoming 5 months – two Majestic RV bodies sitting on Ford E-450 Ford chassises (how do you pluralize chassis, anyway?) – arrived last night. it was quite the endeavor to get them to Vermont; Ben and Luke left Burlington at 4am, flew to Washington D.C., took a cab to Manassas, Virginia to meet the CruiseAmerica salesman and drove 10 hours back to Brattleboro. all in all, a 22-hour trip. something like 3 gallons of coffee were consumed along the way.
these things are awesome. they’re identical, and they’ve got a stove, microwave, bathroom, shower, two double beds and a futon/couch contraption. since melinda, the documentarian on the trip, is our newest and youngest member of the crew, she’ll be experiencing the table-that-transforms-into-a-bed thingy if it comes to that. sorry, melinda.
if anyone has any ideas for names for the RVs, submit ‘em in the comments below (Luke’s suggestions of Horace and Janet have already been nixed).

Tellman,I have 2 good names for your R.Vs! How about Sneekers and Vans, because your gonna wish you had them on your feet, when they start to hurt.Just think when your done with your run for that day,you could say here comes my Sneekers and my Vans to the rescue! Thought you could use a good laugh.Ha Ha! Anyway,Take Care,Lorraine C. Van R- Powerpink
Wow Tellman,Your almost there,Yikes! I wish you would wear some shoes or at least sand socks,to protect your feet.I love what your doing for all the homeless kids, just remember some of them would rather be on the street than at home.A good song for them would be” Hell Is For Children “by Pat Benatar.Listen to it before you run and remember, listen to the words,so sad,They blacken your eyes and then apologize,be a good little boy and get a new toy, tell grandma you fell of the swing,”Children Of The Night” is another good one by Richard Marx.I listened to these songs when I was going through my own hell!Yes Tellman I was homeless too,and I lived out of my car so my dad would not beat me or my stupid boyfriend.People do not understand,I do ,sometimes its not a choice, would you rather be beaten or live on the street? This can happen to anyone,it hits home with me.I think this touches your heart other wise you would not be doing this.I have came a long way since then, and others can too! Run Tellman Run! But At Least Wear Sand Socks. Thanks For Listening,I hope I Can Touch Someones Life By Reading This,Lorraine C. Van R- Powerpink
Lois and Clark! love it.
Congrats on picking up the two new RVs! Man the more I see you getting ready to make this trip, the more I want to do it myself! Maybe I’ll pick up a teaching job for a few years so I can have the summer off and do it then
As for names, “Lois” and “Clark” great explorers of the west.
“Left” and “right” After you’re feet which will be your choice mode of transportation.
If I think of anything else I post that too.
