A little detective work…

by admin on April 6, 2010

Hey Guys-

This is Sara, the RTR video editor. Most of you probably know that we are working on putting together a short film of the run so far. We are in the final stages of getting things organized, and we need your help to identify two of you who totally kicked butt and ran on Day 1 with Tellman in NYC. If you recognize yourself in either of the pics below, please email me at sara@runtellmanrun.com.

Are you the dude on the left?

How about this dude on the left?

20% of the run done.
Did you make $20,000,000.oo (20% of the goal) for the homeless youth in the USA?
You had to have made at least 10,000 more bare footfalls than 1,000,000 in the 654 miles you accomplished.
Which cost you 50 cents per footfall. (or so)
Did each of your miles meet the $31,250.oo goal that $100,000,000.oo for 3,200 miles is?
Where have you contributed the buckeroos to?
Does dinero still arrive?
What kind of progress is “FUND THE RUN” making?
Is the run…….. still on? (I ask that last because you are nearing 24 hundred hours since breaking from it, which is about how many hours you first thought you might get away with putting into getting the run fully accomplished.)

Which of your friends who thought the idea of you running barefoot for thirtytwo hundred miles was so cool had the kindness to ask you if you thought you were really up to 5 million abrasions to your feet in the quest?
If the idea had been broached to me, I probably fairly quickly would have instructed that the one so interested in such self abuse test it beginning on the spot at that very moment. “Put out your hand. Make a fist. Turn the thumb up. Bang it down on the table ten thousand times.” But I said that here before, too. I would have pointed out that a fist striking a table is NOT the body weight landing on the sole of the bare foot, and if the banging was a pain, well translate that to what’s gonna be happening with the other parts of your body, then.
But we ain’t friends, in any meaningful sense of the word. Heck, we ain’t even aquaintances except because of your endeavors, are we?
When are you coming back to the running?
Maybe some day I’ll get the code cracked enough here to be able to afford to buy something from you again.
Right now though I’m just a Data Juggler Out In Nebraska, trying to learn what I don’t yet know. (And on a broken shoestring at that.)

The SEO of running. Thanks Tellman for taking Youtube video’s and blogging to the next level; 2009 and 2010 was great I really enjoyed watching these vids live as they came through. By far the most entertaining thing of the decade possibly further, I wish you an your team well – your work will be remembered and hopefully you made Guiness Book of Records for a few things, chuckle.

Hey Sara,

A month plus is really too long between posts. I realize Tellman is not back running yet, but you or someone else for that matter can let us know about other services in other cities that help the homeless. We don’t even have to have any pics, just keep us connected to what is going on in the specific or general scheme of things.

Hey Tellman!!
Oh my gosh!
Thats me!
I remember that day!
I was just going to run the first mile with you…
but then I remembered my homeless days living out of a broken down VW in San Francisco… and realized I had to RUN further…and ended up running the whole way with you over the George Washington Bridge …That was Amazing!

In the picture I think you are autographing for me my copy of LIST PROS! That I am finally putting into action..finally — after being unemployed for so long and having no time or money ..I am now providing massage for accident victims 9 hours a day… and creating my dream life and career. Like you I am standing for the ultimate potential in everyone and that they can overcome anything! Through my company Healing Expressions Unlimited I am helping people realize that anything is possible and that they can do anything or be anything that they want to be!

…for being so inspiring!!

Sincerely ,

Eric A. Dahl, LMT, ACMT
